His swing looks good for those terrible numbers. Maybe he figured something out at the plate

Again I don't mind the move to the pen with Wood still finding himself at the big league level. I think it isn't a terrible idea to get him out of there before Carlos Lee changes the game with one swing.

And it backfires on Sveum, but I think the quick hook was due to Wood's struggles in spring training.

To me you cant look back at spring traning. Have to look that he hasnt allowed a hit in over 5 innings. I also think he looking at matchup though. Lee was 1-9 against Camp

I don't think it was a bad call on Sveum's part. I think Sveum wanted to get Wood before any damage with how he had thrown the ball. It didn't work out, but I am not certain that means it was the wrong call. As you said Camp had real good numbers against Lee, but Lee was able to take some awfully close pitches to get a walk.

Not wrong call. Just a move we can look back to if they lose this game (which looks promising with Cubs offense).

Another reason i agree with move is cause you want to get him out of the game on high note. Not when he gives up runs

There is some hope though. Cubs have scored 4 runs in 9th inning 3 of last 5 games. Whats crazy is scoring the 4 runs in 9th inning in 3 games have come in all loses. Dont see that much i bet. Usually if you score 4 runs in 9th usually you have some kind of comeback win. Atleast Cubs can hit mop-up pitchers

Castro for the love of god. With Campy at 1B you have to take 1 or 2 pitches

Campana better go on first pitch because that is all he is going to get before Castro swings.
