First time ever doing this, so cut me some slack. :D

GM Capt. Serious takes over as the Jackets new GM. He knows he has hands full with turning this team into a serious playoff contender. But, we as an organization know he's up to the task & will do his best to make fans excited about this hockey team again. Jackets have some young talent either already on the team or waiting in the wings. Guys like Ryan Johansen, Tomas Kubalik, John Moore, David Savard all have a legit shot to make the Opening Night roster. Also, add in captain Rick Nash, newly acquired Jack Johnson, Derick Brassard, James Wisniewski & a young goaltender like Steve Mason & that could be a nice young team to build.

Our goal is to be competitive this season but also realize there will be alot of growing pains with such a young team.

GM Capt. Serious has announced that the Jackets have traded d-man Fedor Tyutin to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for young d-man Keith Aulie. We as an organization, thank Tyutin for all he's done here in Columbus. But, we felt the need to open up cap space & get a guy like Aulie, who we've had our eyes on for quite some time.
