    yeah if those were in packs he really got lucky or he bought a shit load of em. its sad that baseball cards and hockey cards ETC took the nose dive that it did.

    Yeah, it got bad. I've still got 3 or 4 thousand boxed away from my collection as a kid. Didn't get much hockey stuff but a ton of football cards.

    Thinking about buying some of them again in the next football/hockey season but they got damn expensive, like you said.

    I got a lot of Hawks gear- but I think I will go low key - a postcard I got as a very little kid -with Pat Stapleton, Doug Moens (probably spelled it wrong), and Stan Mikita's autograph -which I got in person.

    I have an official mounted brick from the Chicago Stadium. Best place to watch a hockey game....bar none. Nothing fancy like the UC...actually very old and kind of dirty but the place absolutely rocked, was extremely loud and just oozed ambience.

    Being terrified while walking in the stairwells of the stadium is a great childhood memory.

    Was never scared walking those stairs.....just tired. You had to be in shape to make it up to the 2nd balcony. The place was probably built before they invented elevators.
