That's key can the Indians keep it up? The Tigers are going no place you can bet on that. It's a little to early to worry about them, we just need to take care of our biz first.

The Indians won't keep it up. I can guarantee that. Which is why I say that making sure the Tigers drop so far that they can't comeback late in the season is the best for the Sox because the Indians will fall and then who will be in first? The White Sox.

I didn't read previous posts but the White Sox are in a virtual tie for the second wild card spot I believe.

Im not following wild cards yet. :)

And it's not that great to win the wild card anymore. If the Sox do win, then they'll have to play a game to get into the postseason. Which would put them in a terrible position.

Then I guess you'll just have to win the division then :D

Just read a great article on baseball prospectus about the Indians.
Last year they were much better in all categories.

This year they're an average team. Their run differential is not impressive and is worse than every single team in the AL East.

yeah we think our lineup sucks. When its warm (which it should be for a while) we are hands down stronger. Still like our SP over theirs.

I agree. Our pitching is better and right now our offense is one of the best in the AL.

What the article basically said was that last year the Indians had a long way to fall because it was such an unlikely season. This season is more realistic for them to continue, but I think the White Sox can be better than them anyway.

Anyone know what the Tigers losing streak is?

Ahh heck, I'll check myself.

Only two. But they are 4-6 in the last ten. Which is bad.

Sox are 9-1 in the last ten. :woot:

tigers have some pitching issues. mlbtr says they wont go for a starter, but who knows, I see them getting desperate and giving up the farm for someone.

Verlander hasn't been as dominant this year either. That's the big thing. They don't have a good rotation, but the one thing they count on is that they'll win when Verlander pitches. That's just not happening this year.
