Good choice. I would start with Gale Sayers. No one could touch him, no one could catch him. He gets my nod. However, as sexy and interesting starting a team with RB's would be, we all know the real answer is Jay Cutler. Best QB I've ever seen in a Bear uniform.

Are we talking about Bears players? If so, I'd have to go with Walter Payton on offense and Dick Butkus on defense.

For Bears players I agree with that.

For NFL teams, I actually would go with Anthony Munoz. Offensive Tackle is a franchise player position and it has been shown that one doesn't necessarily need a great quarterback to win a Super Bowl. Munoz got there and lost but I doubt that was his fault. I feel the importance an offensive line comes first before anything else. I also would consider John Hannah.

For non-offensive linemen, I would consider:

Lawrence Taylor- He could absolutely do it all.

Jerry Rice- His longevity and the numbers he put up were remarkable.

Brett Favre- The man had a love of the game and I can imagine he would be great for the morale in the locker room.

Walter Peyton... The greatest Sports ever had, simple as that.

If not Sweetness then it would have to be a Jim Brown, but if I had to go with another Bear... Dan Marino, which other than Superbowls then it would have to be him because the guy was just a fucking beast, other than him it would have to be Brett Farve, and trust me... that hurts to say that.

If nt

If Ed Reed had the production of his first three years his whole career, no doubt him...dude did way to much for the team.

Since it isn't him, I would say Payton. It would definitely be close between Payton and Ed Reeds first three years....who am I kidding. Payton wins everyday all day, Ed Reed is a close second though!

20 years ago it would have been Payton, now that QB's reign supreme due to rule changes I'd have to take an Elway or Montana.

A very good point. Depends on the era.

I'd take Steve Young. Always preferred him to Montana.

Love the mention of Sayers

I'd take Munoz too. The OL can make everyone ten times better. Right Bears FO?

I'd pick a QB. Manning, Montana, Elway, Starr? Any of those guys I guess.

It's a really tough choice because there's been so many good quarterbacks and the line between them is pretty blurred.

Ya know what, changing my mind. Give me Lawrence Taylor. You guys can have all your QBs, I'll make sure my guy can rip their heads off.
