its kinda obvious that hudsons slash line was him not wanting to be on a shit team that has no money, and no chance of winning. he was told he would be a "utility" guy and passed on a team (dunno who) to play everyday to play for the sox, and he should play everyday for us. morel, no!
When there's one guy in the lineup not hitting and the rest are hitting, I think that drags the other guys down. Right now Morel would just kill everything the Sox have going for them.

Lets say that AJ hits a single, Viciedo gets a double and then Ramirez gets walked. There's one out and the bases loaded. The Sox have a lot of momentum and have been hitting well this inning. Then, Morel comes to bat and hits into a DP. That's a killer of offense as a whole.

point is, we are winning alot more with out him and are 8-0 with hudson in the lineup. morel is an out even when healthy he isnt that good.
Hudson hasn't hit that well either while here.
But I think the difference between Morel and Hudson is that Hudson is a veteran and he's just a better fit.
And how about his defense playing third for the first time?
See. We have a worse player now at 3b and we still win. No point to replace Morel. This win streak proves that we can let Morel work it out
