It was his right to go wherever he wanted to go. What was he supposed to do, wait until Cleveland gets their Sam Presti? I doubt that was going to happen anytime soon.

But...but...but...Jordan let his GM build an adequate team around him!

Right, and Hughes was supposed to be his Scottie Pippen!

Well he did put up like 20 points and 3 steals in Washington so :dunno:

He was always a chucker though.

And of course, can't forget the supporting cast of Ira Newble, Luke Jackson, and Sasha Pavlovic.

My final statement for the finals thread:

I don't care what you guys think, but I'm proud of Lebron James for maturing a lot this season in the playoffs. And he was humble about it.
Kind of hard for me to hate on him anymore, but I'm sure a lot of you will find somthing to bash him for no matter what he does.
The reality is, he's the best basketball player on the planet.

I suppose the only way for Lebron to shut more mouths is to just do it again next year.
He was a leader as he kept his teammates in check to night vocally.
THE heat as a team came together as everyone contributed.
Oh, yeah and Miller actually did somthing for once.

The Heat won this fair and square.
It is what it is, and it may be a while before the Bulls are a threat to them again.

2012 NBA Champion Miami Heat is now official.......Get over it.

I only wish that this series would of went 6 games, because then I would be looking like a forum God right now, considering that 6 games was my prediction.

One thing for sure, Eddie Curry don't deserve no ring :smug:

Enough with this, time for Pax-Gar to go to work.

I predict James will choke tonight and the series will go back to OKC. The pressure is squarely on LeBron and these are the moments when he has never delivered.

Sorry bro.

The package has been delivered to your doorstep.

I mean when Cleveland didn't have the best supporting cast he bailed, I know he was there 7 years but I remember there was all this talk about how they had the big 3 planned a year or two ahead of time. It was like he couldn't wait to get out of there.
Wut?

Lebron "waited" in Cleveland for 7 years and all the GM gave him was ass clowns like Larry Hughes and old over the hill Shaq.

How much longer should he have "waited"?
Heartbreak.

This year: Losing the Finals is always tough. You succeed because of failure.

Lebron is currently the best player in the NBA...probably of this generation of NBA players (sorry Kobe). He proved it in the last 2 series IMO.

LeBron is so versatile he is almost like a combination of Bird and Magic when it comes to production. And he is much better at one-on-one defense than either of those two. LeBron is a not as good as a rebounder or passer as Bird, but he handles the ball just as much (if not more) than Bird did. This year's postseason was the first time I saw LeBron really take charge of games. I've always seen him as being the least charismatic star athlete in sports history, because he seemed to be on the periphery of the game, accumulating stats and making nice plays but not really changing the course of the game. This year seemed to be different...maybe its just that my perception was off and I didn't see James play enough.

Its hard to compare LeBron to anyone, really. I think the closest thing would be Oscar Robertson. With Jordan, Bird, and Magic, they had different styles and were surrounded by some very good players. LeBron is like a throwback player to when (racist alert) a team would have one or two black players and those guys would basically lead the team in every statistical category (like Robertson).

I don't think its a stretch to call LeBron the most versatile player in NBA history, to be honest.
Wrong wrong wrong. All wrong :obama: :obama: :obama: you forgot about Boris Diaw.
