Sneaky signing by the C's. I'll say it right now -- they'll be back in the conference finals next year. I think this team is going to retool, get a few veterans in there, flesh out the roster and be 10 deep with quality bangers that can play defense and know how to win.

guessing the celtics are expecting allen to leave

though terry could just play the 6th man role again(though they already have bradley)

Bradley could maybe play backup PG to Rondo? Not sure how he'd fare in that role...

Perhaps they'd use Terry as the effective PG in that scenario.

If Miami is really going after Camby & Allen, there's absolutely no way that Allen plays for half of the mini mid-level. It would be incredibly stupid.

At the most, $3M per (C's have already told his reps they will offer twice that) & if they want to get Allen & Camby, Allen would have to agree to $1.5M per. There's no way a player of his talents would accept that little just for the chance to wing a ring, which he stills has a legit chance with C's if they re-tool a bit. Adding Terry is gonna be big for them.

Eric Gordon and the Phoenix Suns agree to a Maximum Offer sheet worth $58 million over 4 years, sources said.

If the Hornets match, does that mean Eric Gordon is stuck under contract as a Hornet for the next 4 years?

Where are the new CBA rules posted?

As I wrote last week, if Eric Gordon wants out of New Orleans, the Hornets will try to do a sign-and-trade rather than letting him walk.

    Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
New Orleans can match Phoenix's offer sheet, but the Hornets don't want Eric Gordon back if he wants out. They'll look at sign-and-trade.

If NO does this, it's for draft picks, 1st or 2nd round & a fat $8-9M trade exception.

I really doubt that the Hornets would let the player they traded CP3 for walk in FA.

At this point, I think they can go either way. They have Davis, who projects to be a multiple all-star. They got Rivers, who has go-to scorer ability. Aminu is raw but has starter potential. They may try & suck for a couple more seasons to get a couple other good pieces like the Thunder did back when they were the Sonics.

They won't let him walk. They'll get a pick & a trade exception. They will also keep their payroll low as the new owner attempts to turn a profit with one of the worst franchises in the league. Has anyone else noticed how you haven't heard of NO pursuing any major FA or even mid-level ones? This team has $30+M in cap space.

Suns seem to be dealing well with losing Nash...Eric Gordon and Michael Beasley. Solid pieces to build around. Still got Dudley and Gortat as well.

But wow only 6M a year for Beasley? I wonder if we could've made a play for him for the MLE...eh...probably not.
