Yeah it was. Does seem to take a lot of wind out of the sails for my longshot Cole Hamels scenario though.

I think they'll see how many kids they can sign first, and how trades happen, before they splurge. Basically if they decide to trade Garza and Dempster, there's no point in replacing them with Hamels and Greinke because the rotation will be top-heavy and back-meh.

Agreed with Dab. Dont see them spending big on any FA anytime soon or later. It doesnt seem to work though so lets just trust him.
