Chicago:In a shocking press conference at Halas Hall today, Lovie Smith has resigned as coach.
Lovie said It was time to move on....
"I have decided to leave the Bears organization to spend some quality time with my family. This business is not a easy one. All the Hard work and hours you put in as a head coach is really tough. I know the Bears will be a great team moving forward and I know they will hire a terrific coach to lead these men on Sunday's."
"I am thankful for the opportunity the McCaskey family gave me to be the Head Coach of the bears. We had a good run here. Won the division a couple of times, played in a NFC Championship game right here in Chicago, and we went to a Super Bowl."
"I know we did not win the game(super bowl 41 against the colts), but I know these guys will win a Super Bowl in the near future."
