I'll be at/in my brother's wedding, but I think the draft is during the reception so maybe I can check in... trades will be interesting.

Kane for Nash, sign Suter in FA, sign Parise in FA, trade Montador, cut Frolik, Bolland and Hjalmarsson for Staal. :yeah:

I don't see the need to trade a guy who can score 20 goals at such a low salary, doesn't open much cap space, and in a competitive team secondary scoring is a necessity, and the picks won't have an instant impact. I'm weary of this.

Thats why stalberg is in play...a guy who can score 20 goals with low salary...hammer+stalberg is a good package for a 2nd line center

If that is the case, then yes, but I assumed, probably incorrectly, that it was for picks.

I wouldn't mind a big move being made either for Nash (though I doubt he comes here with his no movement clause) or Jordan Staal, but I doubt either happens.

You trade for picks to dump salary...stalberg's salary is small

Supposedly we are on his list of teams he would accept a trade to.

I've heard so many conflicting rumors about who is and is not on his list that I've lost track.

Supposedly the Blackhawks are on Nash's list for a team he would accept a trade too.

I don't know many teams who are going to touch Staal right now after the reported 10 year deal that he turned down...unless they are the team he is definitely going to re-sign with and the team knows it ahead of time.
