In the end if youks produce all that really matters, Iam not a fan and think he won't stay healthy and he is in decline...I hope he does and the Sox win all I care about and all WE SOX fans should care about.

Yet, Youk says this has been the best he's felt health wise, in quite some time.

The guy is 33 not 43 for fuck sakes.

he needed out of boston ever since bobby v came into the picture. who knows about his injury? fresh start, 1st place team, full time job, and can have lunch with theo.

Tired of Sox fans judging what will happen without even seeing him play a game in a White Sox uniform. Wait a week or two and then we can decide whether it was a good move or not. Nobody knows what will happen.

No one is pulling for this move to work out more for the Sox than me. Granted my ulterior motive is to make the Tigers panic and overpay in a deal for Garza/Barney.

Reading through this thread is embarrassing. Even Youk's current line is better than Hudson, Morel, etc.

Boston is paying most of his salary, and if he bombs out, buy him out for $1 million.

Plus it only cost us Stewart and Lillibridge.

It is actually very sad reading through the archives from today.

1) if kenny gave more people would say he got fleeced

2) since we gave up shit, other teams think he is done

#2 is stated by cub fans

#2 isn't necessarily wrong. But #2 should be amended to say that "other teams didn't want to give up as much as the White Sox did in order to obtain a guy coming off injury who is aging and expensive." I don't think Youk is done but you have to accept that giving up too much may not be wise. The Red Sox basically got as good as they were going to get or else they wouldn't have pulled the trigger on the trade.
