Career low BABIP, but his BABIP has declined every year since 2009, so he is either poised for a rebound or declining so much that he isn't able to make solid contact on a semi-regular basis.

Not what I was saying at all, I hypothesized that his BA and OBP would go UP because the low BABIP suggests "bad luck".

ummm. he can still play defense. he isnt adrian beltre but he can still play an avg defense. he also will bat in the 2hole with his high OBP. the sox worst ops in the league at 3b. youkilis>hudson/morel/escobar. this makes the lineup very strong.

Youklis isn't too bad, he's just dealing with lingering injuries and a change of scenery may be great for him. He knows Middlebrooks is right there and may have lost confidence.
Youklis would be a great pick-up for the Sox. They don't have to see O-Dawg playing 3rd anymore. Just by that, it's a huge win for the Sox. One of their biggest holes on the team will be solved. Now try to acquire a pitcher and go from there.
A pitcher I think the Sox should look into is Jeremy Guthrie. He's weel know available and he won't cost much player wise. I think he'll be a great pick-up. Humber is on the DL, I know he has struggled but still.
