I'll be surprised if either one of those guys lands an NHL contract before camps open.

Breaking: Shea Weber agrees to offer sheet with Philadelphia. 14 years, upwards of $100 mil. Preds have 7 days to match. Wow!!

Nashville losing Weber and Suter in an offseason would be like Hawks losing Keith and Seabrook.

Wow. Just wow.

Laughing now at any owner that says teams don't have enough money or that players' contracts are too high.

...and is there any wonder why I keep saying that 'the salary cap' bargaining point is a management vs management issue. I bet the players' association is laughing at that one.

The worst thing about a possible lockout is that the NHL is still recovering from the last one. they just started to get more recognition and are slowly making a comeback as a major US sport. A lockout kills all of that momentum for the league.

if there is another lockout this year the league is done. they have done a lot of good to get fans back but those have been minimal affects.

If they lose a whole year again then yeah it would be tough...they could survive a short lockout i'm sure

Yeah like basketball the only thing that really matters is the postseason. If they get a postseason in then it shouldn't be a big deal, but if the whole season is lost then this might be it for the NHL.
