I mean it's a nice gesture but come on. $100 per k? What he gets paid $15 million. I think more actually without looking it up. That's like a normal person donating like 3.00 or something

Good for Peavy. He doesn't have to do it, so it's a nice gesture. I think more stuff like that goes on that people know about, but I'm never gonna look down on a player for donating.

What's he donating to?

I get what you're saying but if every game has an average of 15 strikeouts, that would be $22,500. That's a good amount of money for one day. It's also not known what other charities he might be involved with.

It's going to pancreatic cancer research in honor of the Padres bullpen coach who died a week ago.

He's doing something great. And doing it for a friend. And had one of his best strike out games when he was donating.

Stop trying to make him seem like a bad guy for not giving 5 million dollars or something. He's doing something that a lot of athletes wouldn't do and he's doing it with a heavy heart about his old bullpen coach.

Some people

You've missed the point. He's bragging about himself. he may not have meant it but it comes off that way. Maybe it will encourage others at a much higher percentage

Making it public without additional details in effect does just that

Just read he did a 52,000 donation earlier.

Making it public doesn't make it about himself.

And I can't say anything else because you're a pussy.

And go ahead and report me for that. I don't give a shit. I have a life outside of this site and I'm plenty happy with it. My life fucking rocks. So don't think you trying to get people who have power to knock me out scares me.

It doesn't.

I like most people, but there are some people that I don't like. And those people that I don't like get fucked because I hate them a lot.
