You know, if we really wanted another forward, for a million and a half I think I'd have taken a shot at Taylor Pyatt. He's huge, he has scored, he was the #8 pick in the draft a while back, and how many times are you going to miss an entire season with injury and how often is your fiance going to get killed in a car wreck in Jamaica? I'm guessing his best days are ahead and he's a bargain at a million and a half.

Still wish we'd have signed Parenteau though if we wanted another forward. He was a bargain at 4. Just two fewer points than Parise and half the price. Would have given us room for a stud defender. Oh well...

Parise and suter are 2 of the most likeable guys in the nhl...they would instantly become my 2nd team after the hawks

Two Americans signing on 4th of July... Seems kinda "The Decisiony" to me! Not really though.

Really they wont be hated because they are going closer to home opposed to LeBron abandoning his state.

And plus hockey is a team game, whereas the NBA a single player can take over a game and make the other team his bitch, not that that cannot happen in hockey, but it is far less likely a la Rick Nash
