Trade him for half a ham sandwich in my lunchpail.

    That'd be alright.

Seriously, Rip is a broken down SG. Let's clear space now, and sign Josh Smith next year

Could be...the thought actually crossed my mind -- but given the way this offseason's gone, I really have no friggin' clue what the FO is doing....and i'm not sure they know, either.

That leaves us with what? 6 players?

On a serious note, If shopping Rip means we got a chance at Mayo I'm really ok with it.

Tho I'd be excited about seeing Rose and Mayo play together, let's not over-romanticize the whole situation. That essentially gives us an A Player (Rose) and 4 C Players (Mayo, Deng, Boozer, Noah).

I guess my thing with Manu is he's an UFA, and a lot of the other players (George, Harden, Ellis) etc have other options before they are UFA.

You guys don't think Manu could do good on the Bulls for a year or 2?

    JR's older

Anyways I'd rather the Bulls try to get JSmoove over some of the other players. At least he plays defense at a high level, and can score. His shot selection is , but I would hope that in Chicago with a clear shot taker in Rose, he'd settle and fit nicely into a nice #2 piece on a championship team.

I really hope the team can get rid of Hamilton. He handicapped them last year and will probably miss 3/4 of the season again.

How can someone handicap a team to the best record?

He came in, got injured and then came back and played his role. Rip was not the issue last year. He was the supposed to be the missing piece not the guy who lead us to the promise land.

This is just another move to save money. Unless we replace Rip with Mayo, i'd rather keep him, he can move the ball well and work his way off screens.
The Chicago Bulls: It was a business move!

    ugh.
Better than an old G w/ no face, hands, knees, shoulder, life, ect.

And I'm sure if true, this would be to free up space to get a real SG.

Who am I kidding, this is PaxGar. It won't happen.

Remember a year ago how amazing everyone thought the RIP signing was?

    But...he brings the rings.

Ahhhhh, remembering the good times. When nobody would heed my warning.

The Bulls also had the best record in the league the season before Hamilton came. He did not come into the season injured. He got injured in the third game, came back before he was ready and further injured himself just to play a meaningless game against Detroit.

If it gets us a shot at Mayo, I'd say it's worth it. Yeah we'd have 4 C level players, but then we can attempt to take a couple of them and upgrade to a B or maybe A- level player.
