Default Why is Jerry Reinsdorf still owner of the Bulls?

There was an interview done of him a few years back and when asked he stated he would trade all six of the Bulls championship ring for one white sox world series ring. This may be the reason the Bulls are constantly losing out on the top tier FA year in and out.. Why do you guys support this man?

How do we guys support him? How many other NBA franchises have won six titles in the last 40 years? How many haven't won any?

Hey he was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers before there was a Chicago basketball franchise so he personally loves baseball more than basketball.

I'd be for him selling the team if he posted dumb things on message boards but so long as the team isn't floundering wise up.

Why is he still the owner? Because he hasn't sold the team yet?

it's kind of a pointless question, tbh. Even if every Bulls fan didn't support him, it would still be his team. I'm sure several fan bases hate their owners, and those owners are still there.

Reinsdorf bought the franchise for the same reason DAMN NEAR EVERY OTHER OWNER BUYS A FRANCHISE...to make money!

Michael Jordan loves basketball, absolutely adores it above anything else...want him as your owner?

Jerry Buss owns more than one franchise...wonder how LA Kings fans feel about that? No doubt Hornets fans are pissed that Tom Benson owns a NFL franchise...Illitch owns the Tigers, Red Wings, and he wanted to buy the Pistons...boy, Detroit fans must have been pissed!

Those Dodger fans must have been rolling their eyes when they saw Magic Johnson standing at the podium talking about his new baseball team. Boy that Magic was a hell of a point guard...wonder if he ever played shortstop?

You all want me to keep going? There are plenty more who own or aspire to own more than one franchise.

But yeah, single Jerry out as bad, because he couldn't have possibly attained hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of his life being successful in more than one business venture at a time...damn these one-track minded sports teams owners!

He could sell the team to the Tribute corp.

Or we can have a fan co-op, like in Green Bay. The Bulls would constantly be overpaying everyone to come here, be a perennial 1st round exit team, then have nobody left to blame.

You guys are missing the point. From an NBA perspective. If im David Stern and he says that. The fact that he would give back all six of the Bulls championships for one ring shows hes not commited. The Bulls arent his number one priority.

From a fan standpoint. That dont make you a little angry?

I'm a Bulls fan too, but I would trade in those six for another Sox trophy.

That interview was before 2005 and referred to the 87 years Chicago went without a baseball championship.

And the Bulls are his favored team as far as ownership. His opinion on the White Sox now is that as long as he breaks even money-wise he doesn't give a shit.

Because the Bulls used a portion of the $5 million midlevel exception for Hinrich and the biannual exception to sign Bellinelli, it's impossible for the Bulls to match even Asik's $5 million starting salary and stay below the hard cap of $74.3 million. They will pay the luxury tax for the first time in franchise history

No...because I would like to think Reinsdorf like the half dozen other owners I just named in my last post...can walk and chew gum at the same time. I don't need the owner of the Chicago Bulls to have his own Bulls den in his home and wearing Chicago Bulls footie pajamas to bed at night. I need him to put the team in a position to succeed. This is a god awful dumb thread, common sense answers this question.

    You are so dam phoney.

You complain all season long about how management fails to bring in a superstar.
Now you are swinging on managements nuttsack.
LoL, you need to slow your roll Tito.

I SAY LIKE I HAVE SAID ALL ALONG, "FUCK GARPAX and Fuck Jerry".
I can respect Jerrys love for baseball and the Sox (I am also a sox fan)...
But I don't respect how he gives the Bulls the backseat.

He should sell them.....He's rich enough

no, it just shows he likes the white sox more...doesn't mean he isn't commited
