his FA stock is going to take a hit. he is going to get smacked around like a bitch in the AL especially in Arlington and facing some pretty tough teams the rest of the way. he was on a trend for the worse the last couple of outings. a game in the oakland coliseum at night might serve him well.
Okay apparently Dempster didn't listen in on the phone calls, but actually called Colletti directly during the process.

Dempster goes 6 2/3 giving up 0 ER against Boston yesterday. Didn't see it but sounds like a nice bounce back from his first Texas start
But as far as 2013, you can define it as a success or failure by whether we make the postseason, and ultimately whether we win the World Series.

Didn't see the game but I am guessing an error happened with 2 outs before he gave up the homerun.

Yeah, but how could there be an error on a HR? He should have at least been tagged with the run for Middlebrooks since his hit was a homer? Unless maybe it was a fan interference or something? I can see the other 2 runners not counting if they reached via errors, but the Middlebrooks run should count in my mind. Maybe I am missing something.
No what I was saying is that prior to the homerun, if there is an error with 2 outs all the runs that happen afterwards are unearned. I guess the thinking goes that without the error the inning would be over and therefore anything that happens after that isn't the pitcher's fault.
