Jeeeeeezus...Even with the first step completed, the deal is far from complete. The Dodgers would be taking on $253 million in salary, an absurd sum even considering the clear willingness of new ownership to spend, all while giving up loads of future value. The Red Sox have the rights to pull Gonzalez back off waivers in the event a trade isn't completed in the next 48 to 72 hours.

yeah AGon back in the NL West, Beckett moving AL to NL, Crawford is still a question mark, but likely the reason Boston is pushing this deal, and Punto is a great utility player. The Dodgers will have this division easily if this trade somehow goes throughPossibly both
Crawford is also unavailable for like a year due to Tommy John so I find his inclusion to be a deal-breaker. Maybe the Dodgers are stupid.

This will be interesting, Saunders never really did that well in the AL with LAA, and he is another pitcher switching NL to AL, hope it works out for the Birds but highly doubt it
