Essentially gonna make an "all star team" from the baby Bulls era (2004-2008) just for fun.

    Roster will be:

    PG-Derrick Rose
    SG-Ben Gordon
    SF-Luol Deng
    PF-Joakim Noah
    C-Tyson Chandler

    Bench
    Kirk Hinrich
    John Salmons
    Andres Nocioni
    Tyrus Thomas
    Ben Wallace
    Brad Miller
    Chris Duhon
    Eddy Curry

I don't care who I left out (sorry Acie Law, Flip Murray, Hakim Warrick, Shannon Brown, Jannero Pargo, etc fans), this is the roster I'm going with...

29 game season, 12 minute quarters, superstar difficulty

Baby Bulls gonna win it all!

He never really played for us though even though he was technically on the team for a few days. Same goes for Howard Eisley (don't think he's in the game lol).

I totally would've put guys like PJ Brown, Antonio Davis, and Othella Harrington (and/or Michael Sweetney? xD) on there, but obviously, they're not in the game.

So I downloaded the latest roster set to use for this season and for whatever reason Eddy Curry wasn't there. He has been replaced by Thabo Sefolosha.

lol I thought about it, but I have plenty of big men as it is anyway. And that roster spot is like the 12th man spot, so not really a whole lot of minutes anyway.

Played my first game...it was a ridiculously high scoring game.

High scorer was Ben Gordon with 28 points. Rose had 26 and 12 assists. Noah was a perfect 8-8 from the field and 3-3 from the line for 19 points. Ben Wallace had 9 rebounds off the bench. Hinrich had 12 points and 8 assists.

Next game I'll give better stats and stuff...doing this off the top of my head a couple days after the fact.

Rose, Hinrich lead Bulls to victory over Kings

Just one game after an astounding shooting performance by Ben Gordon, luck seemed to reverse itself. Gordon shot just 3-13 from the field en route to 6 points. However, despite the dramatic drop in production from Gordon, behind the outstanding play of Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich, the Bulls prevailed over the Sacramento Kings by 17. Rose led all scorers with 30 points and added 8 assists in yet another outstanding game for the star. Hinrich added 21 points off the bench on just 8 shots, bouncing back from a less than desirable shooting performance against the Suns. The Bulls withstood great games from Marcus Thornton and Tyreke Evans, who scored 28 and 24 points, respectively.

"I was just playing my game, trying to be aggressive and get good shots for myself and my teammates," said Rose. "It was kind of a tough night because Ben was cold the whole game, Lu was cold early on, and a bunch of easy shots just weren't going down, but we showed great poise and came back after halftime strong."

"Yeah it's fair to say I wanted to do a lot better than the last game," said Hinrich. "I know I can shoot the ball at a high level and this game proves it. I just have to keep being aggressive and pick my spots. Hopefully I can build off this game and play at a similar level all season."

Joakim Noah, who scored 19 points in the last game, scored just 6 points against the Kings, but wasn't disappointed in the lack of offensive involvement.

"I know my role, and it isn't a scorer," said Noah. "I leave that stuff to Derrick, Ben, John, those guys. My job is to hustle and rebound and play defense. If I get a lot of baskets by hustling, great, if not, that's fine. As long as we get the win, it don't matter."

Tyrus Thomas added 13 points off the bench for the Bulls and Luol Deng scored 17, but shot only 35% from the field.

"I think the key to the game was the lack of Jimmer," laughed Thomas. "Not sure why he never got into the game, but he could've given them a boost."

Despite the big win, coach Tom Thibodeau still wasn't satisfied.

"Too many turnovers," said Thibodeau, in a voice that sounded hoarser than usual. "We have to protect the ball. The opponent isn't going to shoot 51% from the free throw line every game. We have to put ourselves in the best position to win, and committing 18, 19 turnovers isn't going to cut it. We have to stop trying to play like Team USA and make the home run play every time. If we slow down a bit and take our time, you'll see us get a lot more easy buckets and less turnovers. That's the goal."

The Bulls will play the Lakers and newly acquired Steve Nash on Thursday.

Lakers dismantle Bulls behind Nash, Bryant

The new look Lakers came into the United Center looking to avenge a tough loss to the Jazz against the Bulls. Behind the outstanding performances by Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant, the Lakers did just that, taking a 5 point win. Nash and Bryant scored 31 each while forcing the Bulls to commit 24 fouls. Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and the rest of the Lakers big men helped outrebound the Bulls big men by 6. The Lakers abused the Bulls inside, challenging the Bulls bigs and bullying their way to 38 free throws, 31 of which were makes.

Despite this, the Bulls managed to keep the game relatively close until the game's waning minutes where they turned to superstar Derrick Rose to try to lead the team to victory. Rose attempted to take advantage of Steve Nash, but was swarmed by the length of the other Laker players and was forced into several misses down the stretch. The Lakers forced Rose into just 9-25 shooting on the night and additionally forced him to foul out of the game. Center Tyson Chandler was also limited to just 13 minutes due to 5 quick fouls. The Bulls bench outscored the Laker bench 48-22, but it was not enough to overcome the sheer size of the Lakers combined with Kobe's killer instinct in the 4th. The bench effort was led by Kirk Hinrich, who had 21 points, and Tyrus Thomas, who had 13 points. Reserve big men Brad Miller and Ben Wallace were given extended minutes due to Chandler's foul trouble, but were only able to combine for 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 31 total minutes. Joakim Noah attempted to pick up the slack, adding 14 points and 10 rebounds, but the Lakers big men proved to be too much for him to handle alone.

"It's tough to lose a game like that," said Rose. "We were up at the half, but couldn't make a shot down the stretch to bring us in a position to win the game. Part of that is on me, but the way the Lakers played tonight was unbelievable. We couldn't stop them on the other end either. When Kobe is on like that, they're going to win a lot of games. Steve played out of his mind tonight too. He was really feeling his shot and when he's sticking pull up jumpers in your face, there's nothing you can do."

"Any game against the Lakers is tough," said Ben Gordon, who was held to just 12 points and played only 28 minutes. "Kobe is a tough matchup for everyone, and when you have Pau and Bynum crashing the boards and just forcing their way to rebounds, there's not much you can do. To me, they committed a lot of loose ball fouls, but it is what it is. We just gotta bounce back next game."

The Bulls did everything in their power to try to contain the Lakers backcourt, but to no avail. Kobe imposed his will on every Chicago defender, no matter the prowess.

"We tried everything we could," said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. "We knew Ben would have a real hard time on him so we tried putting Derrick on him, but that resulted in a couple fouls, so we tried throwing Thabo at him. Thabo is our best perimeter defender, but even he couldn't do anything to affect him. We tried Luol, Kirk, everything we could think of. When Kobe's playing at that level, you just can't stop him. Same with Steve. They're phenomenal players, even at their age."

The Bulls will look to bounce back against the Wizards on Sunday.
