I think he has a twitter in the sense that he has a facebook account. It's not derrick rose, but it's derrick rose's pr/publicists that posts tweets on his behalf.
In order to stay in the limelight while he rehabs, he had to explore other avenues of social media. It makes sense to do it now.
In other words, don't expect rose to tweet pictures of his gf's ass.

Social Media in general I find incredibly moronic & pointless. I don't think I'll ever fully understand the Internet Generation's compulsion to document every single thought that runs through their heads.

well if every person is important and meaningful, every thought that you could posit, every meal you eat, and every used condom that you use is important and meaningful. Derrick Rose is the best!
A lot of these agents have social media experts running their client's twitters/facebooks. Highly unlikely that it's D-Rose behind the keyboard. I'm still following though.
