OT: on the draft and likelihood of actually being good at Major League Baseball

Very good article and I agree with pretty much all of it. The MLB draft isn't like the NFL/NBA where usually most of the teams 1st rd picks actually make it and contribute to the team the following season. Even the most polished prospect in the 1st rd probably won't see the majors (if is the big word) for 2 if not 3+ seasons. This makes re-building difficult, and impatient to the fans.

Even so, the first-rounders are more likely to make it to the majors and make an impact than the later-round minor league roster fillers, which was really the point of all this :D
