I wrote up a little something something for the last races:

http://worldseriesdreaming.com/2012/09/27/and-down-the-stretch-they-come/

Figured we'll use this for now to following the last week of baseball and continue using it to check out the wild-card play-in games as well as the divisional rounds. The other everything baseball thread will still be open for archival purposes.

Nostradumbass prediction:

American League -

East - Yankees
Central - Tigers
West - Rangers
WC1 - O's
WC2 - A's

National League -

East - Nats
Central - Reds
West - Giants
WC1 - Braves
WC2 - Cards

NL was easier since they've all pretty much clinched

While they are in fact a great franchise, the Cardinals are only up 3 games for the second wild card and must face both of the two best teams by record in the NL to close out the season. Wouldn't get too cocky if I were you :cubstroll:

Philly eliminated. Would've been anyway since STL is kicking ass.

STL wins big. Arizona eliminated. Milwaukee on life support.

Angels just beat the Rangers and the A's are winning.

Looks like the Brewers are about to get eliminated.

Yankees and O's likely end today tied for the East lead again.

Angels win first game of doubleheader, could make things in the West REALLY interesting.

Atlanta still alive for taking the East but their E# remains at 1.

Pittsburgh losing, and if they can't come back, this is loss #82 and yet another losing season for the Buccos.
