Trade according to Rosenthal: "One of Walker/Hultzen/Paxton, plus Franklin and Furbush, then Pryor or another"

The size of that package (huh huh) is crazy. Also, the Rangers are apparently out of the Upton sweepstakes now.

D'backs probably want to drag Upton out back and shoot him after he vetoed that deal. The haul they would've gotten back in return would've been fantastic.

The Mariners overreached with that deal in my opinion. The size of the trade package might also have scared other potential suitors.

He would rather have that then going to Seattle.

Red Sox still working on setting up protective language for a Napoli deal. Napoli must really be playing hardball but he might be running out of time here.

Also, Henry Blanco ---> Blue Jays :D

Good luck Hank White.

Too bad the Angels didn't use protection (language) when they signed Josh Hamilton. That might cost them

Bowden says the Red Sox want to knock Napoli down to just a one-year contract. That hip must be bad.

Or maybe they realized that Napoli wasn't worth $39MM :lol:

At least the Cubs won't have to trot Rodrigo Lopez out there anymore, he signed a minor-league deal with the Phillies.

MLBTR bullets today:

D'Backs interested in Porcello

Shaun Marcum drawing interest from multiple teams, which means Kyle Lohse is probably SOL for now.

Porcello watch:

10:53am: The Tigers would likely ask for a shortstop, a late-inning reliever or a right-handed hitting outfielder in a trade for Porcello, Morosi adds. Detroit doesn't appear to be a finalist for Scott Hairston, who could decide between the Yankees and Mets.

If they did deal Porcello that probably means they intend on keeping Smyly around.

Rafael Soriano ---> Nats

Guess the Nats don't need their pick.
