Yesterday the self-proclaimed Chicago White Sox fan went out of his way to attack the Chicago Cubs, the most lovable baseball team in the world. It all happened as he welcomed the world champion New York Yankees to the White House.
“Now, it’s been nine years since your last title, which must have felt like an eternity for Yankees fans,” Obama told the team. “I think other teams would be just fine with a spell like that. The Cubs, for example.” The Dallas Morning News.

Great, more playful posturing from the President, intended to show that he knows not only about sports in general, but Chicago sports as well (and this endear him to the average American sports fan more) that is going to be blown out of proportion by the media and stupid right-wing Cubs fans. Ugh.

i wouldnt put much stock in it. this guy calls the cell cominskey and grew up an A's fan. he has no clue and probably couldnt name our starting 5 pitchers.

I don't care. I like Obama as president. It was funny his inauguration he was talking to some troops overseas on satellite asked them Cubs or Sox, all of them except 1 said Cubs. :lmao:

^^i don't think obama is a very good president but this isnt political talk so ill keep it on sports

obama also doesnt like my dukies:( even tho reggie love was a dukie so i guess in some way he has too somewhat root for them

i remember when he came to the georgetown game.....

lol, they lost a series to the Nats. They wouldn't do well against the Twins, Indians, or Rays.
