Roy Williams should worry about his job and playing up to his contract rather than worrying about why the player who is going to take his job wont carry his pads. Roy is known as very lazy when it to off season activities and he blames his poor production on his teammates when he is just a bum.
With that said Dez Bryant dropped in the draft because of his off the field issues and personality. I am not saying he should suck Roy Williams off but if he just carries his pads it takes away this none issues from being in the press and allows him to focus solely on football. Who cares if you carry that bums pads he will feel even more dumb when the Cowboys are trying to trade him because he will be the #4 option (behind Witten, Miles, and Dez) if Dez can just ignore everything not related to football and just focus on learning the offense and preparing for the season. Dez is getting superstar treatment already in Dallas and that is the last thing you want to give a young player who is unproven and has a past of off the field issues. Make him earn it.
