Wow, most on that list are playing for low seed or lotto teams. In FA, I think Noah would get offered the Max.

Duncan took a pay cut so his team could have better players. Hear that Reggie Rose?

Noah is the best you can have for that money. Basically he should have had a $2-3 m bigger contract. So in a way, he saves you some money. Also Rose isn't 37 years old.

What does Roses age have to do with it? If Reggie wants to make those dumb ass comments look at Derrick Roses contract and how it takes up 30% of our cap!

Duncan took a pay cut now that he is 37. Rose is still young to do something like this. Everyone would take the most money he could in his first big contract. You know.. Rose may never be the same again. Rose may not play basketball in 4 years from now. This is how it works. You don't know the future. You can get injured. Your career may be short. So you just take the most money you can. Duncan has made a lot of money so far. I am sure he had huge contracts when he was younger.

Reggie said what he said because he is just afraid of his brother being injured again that may terminate his career.

he deserves every dollar too

He does.

The problem is, you can't have your cake and eat it too(get max and demand max players to support you). Rose did take a small reduction though. Almost a LeBron sized reduction to play along two stars.

So when players demand max contracts, then complain immediately(first year of new contract) that they don't have their opinion of enough support, they're just bitching for the sake of bitching, ala Reggie Rose.

Plus, you can't compare the CBA from a young Duncan's era to the one now. Penalties for going over the cap are very harsh now.

I wish the NBA still had David Robinson contracts.

How come nobody mentions to Reggie, who lives off his brother's money, that DRose is getting paid $16.4 million to NOT play this year!
