The Bulls need a shooting guard more than anything. Deng has never been relied upon to be a go to scorer. Deng is the biggest trade asset the Bulls have. Him not getting wrist surgery has damaged his career though.

Pair this core with KLove and/or Eric Gordon and you have a pretty good team imo!

Too bad there isn't enough scoring there. Love can't stay healthy and Gordon isn't a difference maker.

I´ll give you that Gordon has injury problems with his knee, but to say he is no difference maker when healthy:

Get rid of Deng, Noah, Boozer, Rip and replace them with Josh Smith, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard and J.R Smith.
Then replace the whole damned bench except for Taj, Nate and Butler.
Then dump Radmonovic, Nazr, Cook, Amundson, and the fragile boned Captain Kirk off in the middle of the desert somewhere.
