Ya, Rose was out for 6-8 months (and counting) so Kirk is the starter. Claiming him as part of the bench right now while Rose haven't played all year doesn't count.

It'd be nice to have both...
Playmaking is a need on this team and Marco provides that sort of. Think about it...how key have he and Nate been for us because of their ability to create their own shot? They've won several games for us on that ability alone more so than Korver's 3pt shooting. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Korver on the team to stretch the floor, but the way this team is structured makes playmakers more of a priority. We need shooting too, but playmakers are harder to find.

The plan was to have Rose come back after like 10 months and then we'd have the Rose/Hamilton/Deng/Boozer/Noah lineup with Hinrich off the bench. Hinrich was only supposed to be the starter until Rose came back...that turned out to be never so you're technically right, Hinrich is the starter. That's not his role going forward though.

I think this is a good point. Beli is capable of creating a game winning shot as we've seen. This is something we've all wanted.
I certainly wouldn't try to deny that the Heat hasn't gotten better. Allen alone, makes them more dangerous. And their streak WAS impressive. But I fail to see why everyone thinks the Bulls are so much worse?????
Jimmy's defensive presence alone makes the Bulls better. We can add him to the guys that will slow down LJ and DW. He's PROVED to me that he can check the best players pretty well. Jo and Deng are playing as good as they ever have, and Booze is playing like the player we signed to a big contract. I'm still not a Boozer lover, but the man is playing a lot better!!!!
What can I say about Nate. He's a guy that can provide a spark! NO ONE from last roster can provide the spark like Nate, imo. Yes, KK could lite up the 3's, but he never really did that for us when it counted, imo. Kirk, gives us real toughness to frustrate LJ and DW as you saw the other day.
The only real weakness is the backup C position with the loss of Asik, but FORTUNATELY, that the Heat's biggest WEAKNESS!!! They suck on the Boards! This happens to be one of the Bulls BIGGEST strength's!!!
Of course all depends on DRose, but IF the Bulls get EVERYONE on the court in time, we can bang with the Heat, imo, I don't care what anyone says!
