Corey Wootton Profile

While Bears rookie minicamp doesn't start until Friday, Chicago's five draft choices arrived Thursday at Halas Hall and were given their new numbers.

Third rounder Major Wright, a safety from Florida, will be No. 27. Previous Bears defensive backs to wear 27 include Mike Richardson and Walt Harris. Running back Kevin Jones was 27 last season.

Fourth rounder Corey Wootton, a defensive end from Northwestern, will be No. 98. Previous Bears defensive linemen to wear 98 include Carl Simpson and Bryan Robinson. First defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek was 98 last season, but then linebacker Darrell McClover got it once Dvoracek was moved to injured reserve.

Fifth rounder Joshua Moore, a corner from Kansas State, will be No. 31. Previous Bears defenders to wear 31 include Stuart Clarkson and Joe Fortunato. Cornerback Nathan Vasher was 31 last season.

Sixth rounder Dan LeFevour, a quarterback from Central Michigan, will be No. 15. Previous Bears quarterbacks to wear 15 include Virgil Carter and Mike Phipps. Quarterback Jim Miller last wore 15 in 2002.

Seventh rounder J'Marcus Webb, an offensive tackle from West Texas A&M, will be No. 73. Previous Bears offensive linemen to wear 73 include John Wojciechowski and Kevin Dogins. Defensive tackle Jarron Gilbert was 73 last season, although he later switched to 90.
