You still want to see some improvement as you don't want to suck forever, however I realize that Win-Loss isn't how you judge a rebuilding process. However, what I was saying is that I don't care if it is 69 wins or a more drastic improvement if we still don't make it and if that is just because we allocated a ton of money to a few players when we don't know where our long-term holes will be.

I wasnt expecting a big improvement on the won/lost side of things from this 2013 team entering the season..

what i expected as an improvement from this team is seeing their core players improving ( castro,rizzo.samardzija,wood, castillo etc) as the year goes on , and an improved ( more core players added ) roster by the end of the season..

that to me is worth more then just seeing them go from 100 losses to 90 losses this year

That is why you allocate the ton of money at places where there is long term holes and hopefully you address those holes and can move forward.

But you would rather sit back, do nothing and wait for prospects to develop or not develop to address those holes.

How many 'great' 3B prospects did the Cubs have that were going to be the next Ron Santo? And none of them panned out and the Cubs went and stole Ramirez from the Pirates, paid him a ton of money and 3B wasn't a problem anymore. Well that is until they let him walk away without a replacement for him and the Cubs are not back to a black hole of suckness at 3B.

I doubt it. But thanks anyway for the brilliant suggestion. What ever I can do to help.

Unfortunately, the campgrounds where we live actually has running water, unlike the more sophisicated trailer park you've claimed to be a part of.
