When NHL '14 is released, it will have a "retro mode" that allows you to relive the greatest hockey game ever made, NHL '94.

EASports has always had a HUGE love affair with Jeremy Roenick....with NHL94 topping the list. He was like Gretzky, Orr and Lemieux rolled into one.

First off, no need to be an ass hat. Second, I like my games realistic.

3 Stars of the Game is part of hockey. They got rid of that & the hugging celebrations after goals.

Sorry, I have a differing opinion on how I like my hockey fix to be.

the demo is ok. 94 mode is just dumb. fights are better but everything else seems like its a 59.95 update in all honesty. il get the game just not on release since I stopped playing club due to not getting along with my teammates and disagreeing on shit. il get it for that hockey fix type game when im bored.

I actually liked the 94 mode in the demo. it has a nice updated look graphics-wise. all the ea games are only an update but year in a year out NHL is the only game that actually adds good updates. I seriously haven't liked any versions of Madden on 360. I know I'm off topic but there's a reason NHL keeps winning awards. I will probably also wait to pick this up till there's a price drop since i'll be preoccupied with GTA 5.

My thoughts on this game:

OTP has its pros and cons as usual. The penalties are too frequent and the net comes off too much. As far as game play. like I stated before it feels the same as previous years but updated.

HUT is pretty amazing and Live the live mode is a lot of fun. As I continue to play more it will be HUT over OTP.

All in all good game but just feels like NHL 13 getting a tuner or an update.

If you really dont need a hockey fix I would wait to buy it used.

Haven't bought a NHL game in forever.

Thinking about getting this one. How much different or better is this one compared to 12 and 13. if not much, I'll prob go the cheaper route and get either one of the older games.
