It's officially a no hitter since the game was called, but I still wouldn't consider it a true no hitter. Or even a no hitter at all. But apparently it is official according to Ron Santo on the radio earlier.

Kinda figured that, considering Chad Gaudin has an official perfect game that was 7 innings (it was part of a double header, and in minors, double header games are usually 7 innings) back when Lou was managing the major league club he came up to (think it was Tampa Bay).
