Did Hahn find gillaspie? He's doing good for a rookie coming out of nowhere. He's been adequate at 3rd

Listened to espn podcast with Buster Olney. He interviewed someone from the atlanta-journal consitution if that's how you pronounce that newspaper. Anyways, he talked about Peavy will allow the Sox to get just about a king's ransom for him. And talked about Rios but nothing really informative. Said the Braves have a few really good prospects but they don't want to give them up. But if they want Peavy they will.

Hell ya they did. Ya gota wait til you're closer to the deadline. Too many teams need SPs. Good for us though. Looks like KC will keep Santana. So with Peavy the only real option out there we'll get the best deal possible.

I'm expecting a teams top 3 prospect and couple mid-tier prospects.

Rios a mid-tier prospect, same with Ramirez.

per MLBTradeRumors

The White Sox are shopping right-handed reliever Matt Lindstrom along with Alex Rios, Jake Peavy, and Alexei Ramirez, Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com tweets. However, it's unclear how much interest other teams have, Knobler adds. Lindstrom, 33, has a 3.35 ERA in 40 1/3 innings pitched and has yet to allow a home run this year. However, his 6.2 K/9 and 4.5 BB/9 could give some teams some pause.

An official familiar with the situation tells Knobler that a trade sending Ramirez from the White Sox to the Cardinals is "not likely," though as Knobler notes, such a deal appears to make sense on paper. Shortstop is the one position in a stacked St. Louis lineup that could use an upgrade, while the Sox are open for business and had a top scout in St. Louis this week. The two teams have discussed Ramirez along with Peavy, according to Knobler, who also reports that the Rangers maintain their interest in Rios. The Pirates may also be involved in Rios talks. Peavy, meanwhile, appears to be drawing the most attention from the Red Sox, but the A's and Braves have also expressed interest in the right-hander.

Athletics the favorites to land Jake Peavy?
Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com reports that the Athletics are "in front" in the bidding for Jake Peavy.
ESPN's Buster Olney also offered a guess Sunday that the A's would wind up with the right-hander. Oakland is deep with starters and has Brett Anderson coming back from the DL in a few weeks, but they could view Peavy as someone that might put them over the top. Peavy is making $14.5 million in 2013 and 2014 and has a $15 million player option for 2015.

#WhiteSox source has Oakland #Athletics in front of Jake Peavy sweepstakes. Peavy brought extra bags on trip in case, per @JJStankevitz.

Hayes also says the only way he'd trade Sale is if he got 3 or 4 top guys, 1-2 upside guys.

I wouldn't do it. Because you gota hope even one of those guys works out. The only deal I'd even think about is Sale for Giancarlo Stanton

Man please somehow rip Profar from Texas, trade Peavy and Rios.

Jake Peavy - S - White Sox
Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times hears that the Athletics, followed by the Rangers, are the favorites to trade for Jake Peavy.
Peavy is currently slated to start on Tuesday for the White Sox, but it would be a surprise at this point if that happens. Multiple reports have indicated that the A's appear to have emerged as the favorites to land the righty, but it's a bit surprising to hear that the Rangers might be next in line given that they've already picked up Matt Garza.

How close we are to Peavy trade not known. However, source says Oakland, then Texas are top possibilities.

I imagine a peavy deal could be done tonight at the earliest. Exepct it before Tuesday which is his next scheduled start.
