Makes me wonder was the new coach inept or was Tresty that important to what was going on offensively.

You would think if they lost anyone signifficant then he would still have a job.

Could be a combination of both, though I would tend to lean on Hawkins being inept.

Well let me add a little perspective to this thread - this guy might have gotten fired after a win, but Lovie Smith got fired after 10 wins, and that's more wins, so that's even more amazing. Wow.

Did anyone read the article? Ridiculous situation. Hire a new HC and instruct him to learn the old HC's system, so he can learn the "Canadian Game" and the Alouette Way. From the QB no less. The QB coaching the coach.

“We wanted the coaches to learn the language, instead of 12 people having to learn something new,” said Popp. “That didn’t take place.”

It's almost like choosing a project guard or 'tweener situational rusher in the first round.

That is stone cold fuckin nuts imo. Never heard of a team doing that to their HC.

Hawk should have never left Boise State. He got greedy and fizzled. I was pissed when he left but happy we got coach Pete now...Hahaha Hawk
