We got Dunn for one more year at 15 mil. Hopefully we can move him this winter or next deadline

Konerko is free agent after this year. Take his giant salary off.

Rios is set to make 12.5 next year with a 13.5 club option. Hopefully we can move him this winter or next deadline.

Gavin is hurt and a UFA. Good bye

Danks is set to make 15.75 the next 3 years. YIKES. Hopefully he pitches good down the stretch showing he's healthy and somehow we can move him in the offseason or next trade deadline.

Ramirez is making 9.5 then 10 in '15 and a 10 mil option in '16. I hope we get him traded this offseason or next deadline.

Kepp is making 4 and 4.5 mil the next 2 years respectively. That was a stupid deal for a guy who isn't even good. Would like to move him this august on waivers.

Lindstrom has a 4 mil club option next year. I decline that.

I'm not sure what Viciedo makes and Beckham is arb eligible.

That's it for the big contracts. We should be able to make an impact offensive signing don't ya think? Like a Brian McCann or Jacoby Ellsbury?

It says so. Just doesn't give contract number. After this year he's arb eligible.

We need to find a a vet impact bat (McCann is my top guy. Doubt he'd leave ATL for here but we'll see.) to help with development of Garcia and take pressure off of him. Need others to produce that way he can take his time developing.

McCann is one of a list that would help and fit right in financially.
I think the Braves are going another direction in the off season

Well I'd be so happy to sign him. I think he's a reasonable signing and should be our number 1 target. Maybe we move Phegley to first and Viciedo to 3rd or have Phegley back in AAA and Flowers as McCann's backup that way Phegley gets his ABs because he's only 25. I think if we can unload Rios and Ramirez we can spend some money this offseason but very intelligently spend it.
McCann would be good.

I keep De Aza lead off. He's done ok. Hopefully Rienzo shows promise the rest of the season and can be our 4 or 5. Then we gota find a good solid number 2 righty behind Sale. Sale, free agent or trade, Q, Santiago, Rienzo.

Per rotoworld Viciedo signed a 4 year deal in '08. So guess he is a free agent. Do you have to go through arb a few years first?

Interesting article on Rios

My Free Agent (Realistic) Wish List:
Catcher Brian McCann
1st Base James Loney-if we can't get McCann I'd like to sign him to play 1st and have tank at 3rd.
CF Jacoby Ellsbury (we may have an outside chance if we got rid of Rios, Ramirez)
SP Matt Garza (if we can get rid of Rios, Ramirez that frees up a ton of money). I'd like to have him behind Sale.

This seems realistic. I'm not sold on Ellsbury, but I would be good with this plan. You save a ton of money especially if Rios and Ramirez are traded. I really like the idea of Garza as our #2, but would be ok with Danks as well.

Ellsbury would just give us a tremendous speedy outfielder who can hit, steal bases and play defense. Would love De Aza lead off and Ellsbury like number 2 or something. My issue with Ellsbury is his injury history.

There aren't many good free agents this year. No way in hell I'd give Cano 200 million lol. Dodgers or Yanks can have him. He isn't gona be worth that contract long term

The Braves have a good young Catcher Evan Gattis. I think they'll let McCann walk. That's a guy we need to try hard for on a 4 year deal.

For us I think the crop of FA is pretty decent for our needs.

James Loney, Kendrys Morales, Justin Morneau, Mike Napoli, Brian McCann, A.J. Pierzynski, Carlos Beltran, Shin-Soo Choo, Hunter Pence, Corey Hart

All guys within our budget range and some will be available under value like Hart, Loney, AJ, Napoli thanks to health/age.

Pitching we are kinda set though I certainly would take a Garza.

Sale, Danks, Q, Santiago, and a 5th is pretty decent.

Coming off oh his injury and his contract I think he's immovable for at least the 2014 season.

Do we really want Tank back at 3rd? His defense was utter shit there.
