In MLS, we have seen the Dallas Burn and Kansas City Wizards adopt European-style names (FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City), and D.C. United, Real Salt Lake, Toronto FC, and New York City FC join the league with the same style of names.

But now, a Premier League team is adopting an American-style name as the Hull City Association Football Club is adopting the Hull City Tigers as its new official name.
