Bears vs Lions Notes
o) The Bears are 3-0 for the first time since 2010. A season in which they went 11-5 and went to the NFC Championship. The Bears have gone to the playoffs after a 3-0 9/11 times since the NFL went to 16 games. They Bears missed the playoffs in 1978 and 1989. In 1989, They started 4-0, but fell completely apart only winning 2 games the rest of the season.

o) The Bears last beat the Lions at Ford Field in the season finale last year 26-24. The Bears defense forced 4 turnovers but the offense had trouble putting up points on the board. The Bears took a 20-3 lead in the 2nd quarter before nearly blowing the lead. The Lions got close at 26-24 but couldn't do anything more. The Bears needed a Packers victory to get into the playoffs. They did not receive.

o) The Lions have two victories against the Bears at Ford Field since the 2005 season.

By the way, my apologies for not producing a picture for the sack leader. Time has not been on my side lately.

I have predicted the Bears to win every game so far, so 3-0. But I see us losing this game... we can't stop offenses without generating takeaways and I think the Lions protect the football and succeed throwing and running. Pressure put on the offense and they are just not ready to be counted on to score 30+ points. Plus we will be on the road.

Stafford throws 3 tds...2 to Johnson who explodes himself for over 140 yards.

Cutler has a decent day but just can't keep up.

Has all the makings of a shootout. Both teams have given up and scored 20 points in every game. Both teams have given up a lot of passing yards. Going to be a tough game for the Bears. The noise in Detroit will be a lot more than it was in Pittsburgh, especially if the Bears don't have a 21 point lead early again. Key is going to be how well Tillman does vs. Calvin Johnson. If the Bears can do like previous games and not give him much help, they can pay extra attention to Bush, who I think could be a big factor if the Bears go heavy Cover 2.

The key will be taking the crowd out of the game early by scoring quickly. Remember that Monday night game?..The place was amped up, and the Bears suffered. If the Lions get out to an early lead or keep it close, the roof will come off that tin can...Better to do as we did in Pittsburgh and get an early lead. But don't let em back in the game!

We will have some moments, but I see the Lions putting us away late, 27-16.

I am not sure if the Lions scare me or not yet. Our defense scares me a little bit. We have been getting the turnovers but giving up too much yardage. I could see the Lions walking up and down the field, but having trouble in the red zone. I think our offense has a good day. Bears keep it close, 41 - 24 Bears.

cant see the bears D stopping much between the 20s, but they should come up with turnovers and key stops regardless.

11? Bears are going to allow a safety? Or are the Lions getting a two point conversation?

Bears up 27-3 in the fourth. Lions get a touchdown and do a 2-point conversion to make it a two score game. But of course, it's too little too late.

Division games are never easy, and the Lions are no pushovers. No one in our division is. Could go either way.
