Q said today he likes Shaw as 2nd line center.

Now, lets see how long that actually lasts.

Ya, just like having Michal Handzus on the roster was a real obvious choice :hawkstroll:

Kostka claimed by Tampa Bay. $625k off the books.

Interesting timing with Kostka considering the trade freeze lets up tonight. Likely means nothing, but it does free up cap space which the Blackhawks are pretty short on. Only about 10 days until the trade deadline.

Looks like Regin is going to get a shot for the time being. One week until the trade deadline and not a bunch of cap space to work with, but it will be interesting to see if any improvements are made. Have to believe that TT could be a "black ace" down the line and could provide a spark at Center...but is this the year? Who knows. Love a good trade deadline, so the next week should (hopefully) be a good one.

Why can't the Hawks just grow a pair & stop putting duct tape as 2nd line center.

I don't know, but the Hawks and Regin seem really excited about his pairing with Kane for some reason. Perhaps it is the speed pairing, they are hoping the two together will stress defenses, which makes some sense given the opportunities Kane should provide for any player with speed and the smarts to use it.

I am excited with them until proven otherwise, but we can't ignore that Shaw has vastly improved from last year. Saad some too.

My other question is does Sedin penalty kill? because that is our final need after Tarvanian fixes the 2C for the next 5 years.

lets be honest, how many are band wagoner's?

Post in a soccer forum about how you don't care about it, post here about how nobody cared about hockey... good bye.

Imagine if they had a legit #2 center & not trash like Regin/Handzus occupying that.

not really. I began as a fan when they sucked.

Even if the bandwagon was broken down when you jumped on, everyone was still a bandwagon (aka new fan) at one point. I started watching the Hawks the year after Roenick left town, which was the beginning of the franchise's descent into anonymity in the Chicago sports scene.

So who cares if the majority of fans now are bandwagon jumpers? Still better to see 21,000+ at the UC every game night than the opposite.

Also, a large number of bandwagon jumpers usually means the team is playing well.
