Instead of punching faces, maybe the Flyers could stop signing players to ridiculous contracts and not be down 7-0 at the end of a game.

While I enjoyed the whole scene at Philly last night, Emery did break the code last night... Holtby did not want to fight at all. And what is with the ref not breaking that fight up? I've seen UFC fights ended a lot sooner.
In the end, the media will make a big deal out of it and it puts the NHL closer to the inevitable: the removal of fighting from the game.

Emery should have known better. The guy is a legit tough guy and he sure as hell knows punching to the back of the head is really, really dangerous. I have no idea what that was done for. Because the Flyers were getting drubbed? Play fucking better then.
The problem with Emery is he needs to go after a teams tough guy, and even then he would prolly mop the ice with him. Deserves a suspension but so does that damn ref.

Stamkos had a nasty collision with the net today and was taken off on a stretcher.
Hope it's not too bad, he's one of the most entertaining players in the league and the game is better with him on the ice.

Sounds more like a move the Knicks would make. The guy's a good goalie but where exactly has he taken them in his time in NY? Sure, they make the playoffs most every year but what do they do when they get there? Ok, I don't watch a lot of Ranger games and Im sure he's not the main reason.....but $8.5 mil a year for a goalie who not only has never won a Cup but doesn't even have a winning record in the playoffs? I think I'd look for a better place to invest that cash.
