These are already out-of-date, since LA finished their game taking second in Runs from the Cubs, but I didn't want to go back through and re-check all of them.

G - 1st - 26 - Up by 1

AVG - 2nd - .278 - Back by .004

Pitching:
W - 5th - 13 - Back by 4
L (low rank is better) - 7th - 13 - "Back" by 3

In batting, it is San Francisco and Arizona ahead of us most of the time, and for pitching, St. Louis and San Francisco.

We had a run of like 6 straight years in which we finished 1st in the NL in strikeouts. The Giants beat us out last year. Kind of amazing though.

With everyone coming around (besides Ramirez, but he's starting to, and Lee, who is really close to), the Cubs will be a fun team to watch. Think about these numbers with Lee and Ramirez playing to their potential. And those Pitching numbers include a few bad outings before today, the previously shaky bullpen (everyone is starting to come around now besides Grabow, who at least struck out his last two), and Zambrano's first start.

I seriously think we'll be watching some playoff baseball this year, considering the Cubs always start off bad in April before heating up.

I'm glad the bullpen is getting there shit together. I just hope when Caridad comes back he won't mess up the balance and becomes the pitcher he was last year when he was called up.

They say they will send down Russell, Gray, or Berg. I don't care about money, why send them down when you have John Grabow in the majors?

Well even as bad as Grabow is right now he is still a veteran and he will turn it around. I actually like Grabow so I think it won't be long before he starts to show what he did when we picked him up last year. The bullpen is starting to come together. There are going to be some bad outings, but hopefully he will find his groove.

Sensing a theme here haha...That pitching staff 1-4 is insane (especially with the Zito renaissance). I feel like they're hitting will level off though.

They did add DeRo, Huff, and others though, plus they already had Sandoval.

I hear ya, and I'm not saying they're bad on offense by any means. It could actually trend up though too, I doubt DeRo is gonna slug .286 with a .607 OPS all season...so who knows haha
