I believe that was the FIRST non-sellout crowd in Seattle's history.

Would call it pathetic that it was that low, but then again, just about every other team in the league would be thrilled with that kind of crowd.

Impact went down to 8 men and lost 3-0 at Houston.

3 Revs v 2 SKC
3 LA v 2 RSL
4 Seattle v 1 Portland
4 Houston v 1 NYRB

Attendance in playoffs (at least KO round) always seems to be complete shit, hope the weekend games go better.

Football lines for the Seattle/Portland game on Saturday, Seahawks have a game on Sunday afternoon. Sounders are doing GREAT playing in Seahawks stadium, but I think they need their own stadium.

Na, getting their own stadium would be
a) rarely necessary
b) less expandable in all likelihood
c) likely in a worse location
d) too expensive for something that isn't needed, whether from ownership or taxpayer money

a)Wouldn't have to play on a football field, get bumped because of a football game or play on the fake shit.
b)Build a 40,000 seat stadium with expansion to 60,000+
c)If they work with Seahawks, I'd bet they could get a downtown location.
d)Seattle invented soccer, so this shouldn't be a problem.

Have you seen all the roadblocks just building a new (smaller) basketball/hockey arena has been experiencing there?

Seattle follows up their "dismal" 32,204 in the knockout round with over 66K against Portland. Timbers up 1-0 in the 54th

Alonso scores 90th minute to get Seattle within a goal.

38,507 at Seattle. Not sure how they got that number. I thought he capacity is 38,500 with just the first two or three rows in the upper deck. Portland had 1,000-1,500 fans in the upper deck corner, that would mean a crowd of 39,500-40,000. Oh well still a GREAT crowd, we'd KILL for a crowd like that.

Though of course, we'd need to be playing the game at Soldier Field or something to get that number.
