I love Cutler, but that's a very long contract.

At least this isn't baseball and we are stuck with that guaranteed contract.

I wouldnt be mad if the price per year is less because the length of contract. I am just worried about hamstring the team like Balt because we have so many needs.

With how quickly Phil got this all done I can't imagine he did it while letting it hamstring the organization. Phil has shown today that he knows the needs this team has and that he's going to get it done.

I was not expecting this at all, wow. I really hope Emery didn't overpay on a per year basis but Cutler is our quarterback for better or worse.

I'm pretty sure it's back loaded and they will eventually get rid of him after 4 years if he doesn't pan out. So they don't lose much. So it turns out like a 4 year deal. It's just lengthy so they can get the first 4 years cheap against the cap.
