You should have been there when they faced the Pens in the finals in the 90's ....
this isn't so bad ... but boy if you go around reading 'comments' in a lot of places - there are a lot of really uneducated ones out there - the TSN ones are particularly bad tonight (lol bad even)... 'oooh that Keith ... remember how durtee he wuzerz ....???' ... yeah I a guy high sticks a guy who immediately before (in LA last year that cost him a game) ... had a misfire slashing at his wrist.I mean - man - it is at the beginning and the end of the day - just hockey.
I think the funniest (or most pathetic - take your pick) think I read was: "(Seabrook's play) 'was the dirtiest hit I have ever seenerz' ?! Really .... someone beat Todd Bertuzzi's stunt on Steve Moore already? Kinda doubt it - some folks need to get a bit of a grip ... or maybe actually try knowing a little more about what they are attempting to talk about.
It might help the rest of us... I mean really history = context ... blowing off history is the same thing as thinking an American Idol winner is to the same standard as Led Zeppelin -- here's a hint .... it isn't.

Ott doesn't leave his skates, doesn't lead with a shoulder or an elbow, doesn't hit Keith in the head.
That being said, in that position, you'd prefer to see players wrap up the opposing player and ride them to the boards. I think you probably could've called boarding on that because of the spot Keith was in and because Ott's hit put him dangerously into the boards.
Probably another situation where if Keith hadn't gotten up so quickly they might have called something ... and I hate that.

I love the NHL video on the Seabrook hit that said Backes' injury was partially why Seabrook was suspended...The injury should have had nothing to do with the suspension.
I still think the Ott hit was worth a minor, not a 5 minute misconduct, not a suspension, but a cheap hit IMO.
That said, the Blues were more worried about hitting back instead of playing hockey and hopefully they play that way the rest of the series.
