even with the fa's that were brought in you still think s is number one interesting
That's actually not interesting at all cause safety is either the #1 or #2 need

DT - starter and depth needed.
CB - I believe we'll need 2 sooner rather than later, start now IMO.
RB - Very big hole should Forte go down.
S/LB/QB - quality is needed in this area as well.

With all that said, BPA and not drafting by need. I believe draftng by need worked for us last year(1st rnd), but I also believe that is not a recipe for success long term.

well, the nice thing is that we NEED help at DT, CB, S, LB, etc. so there is sure to be a player that is both BPA and a NEED.

I think if there has ever been a where we were equipped to handle a Forte injury, it's now. The passing game is pretty great right now. And believe me, that's not diminishing Forte's value to this team at all. I'm just saying.

3-tech Houston is not a full time DT Collins has never had a solid season
SS Mundy has never been a solid starter
FS If we get pressure Conte is a good, not great starter
MLB No faith in what we have
NT If Paea has a down year he should be gone and no young talent behind him
CB We could use a starting nickel and a player for Tillman to groom

You have to look at this realistically.....

Only the first two rounds probably have a legit chance at being a starter. You have to balance with BPA and need. If we draft and there are legit starting FS available you take them.....you can probably find a starting DT in the second round as well. After that it is high ceiling athletes and guys who can contribute to special teams.

You are not going to draft a borderline guy at MLB with a questionable ceiling. You want raw athletes that could grow into a position with some time.

1. FS/SS - we have ZERO good players, i could see drafting two
2. DT - shore it up and it'll help the secondary
3. CB - getting old, bit banged up
4. RB - if Forte goes down we are SCREWED
5. TE - i'd love to get a 2nd TE that can play, not just block

With what we have at WR and TE in this offense, we are hardly SCREWED if Forte goes down. We'll still be able to move the ball and score points.

Yeah.....I guess you can't count D.J.Williams if your the GM. Mosely in the first wouldn't hurt my feelings at all, I also like that small school kid, Jackson I think from like a Western Kentucky or something.

well, yes, you're right. i meant our running game would be screwed. i don't have a TON of faith in Ford. i like him, but still.
