Blackhawks Forum Introduction Thread

I've known about the forum for awhile but just starting to check it out more.
Thought I'd introduce myself.

I produce a Blackhawks fan show on YouTube called Hawk Tawk TV: The Common Man Fan Show
We do a bunch of silly stuff... funny mashup videos, interviews with drunken fans, the occassional top 10 list.

How did you get into hockey?
Floor hockey in gym class, then also in the basement of a church before boy scout meetings. I played goalie at the time and they had no goalie equipment. Lost count of how many plastic pucks I took to the head. It's been love ever since!

Well, well, well...Phranchk mentioned to Mule and I the other day that IHN was defunct and that the forums had migrated and now I see it with my own eyes. I know what a-holes you can be so turdlings y'all better collectively behave yourselves at your new home.

Also, stop letting Moomintroll dominate the discourse just like he did at IHN. Hello? Lessons learned anyone?

How did you get into hockey? My dad and I used to listen to games on the radio when I was young. First game was 1980. Season ticket holder at Chicago Stadium and the United Center.

I hate every other NHL team, although I kinda like Bobby Clark and the mid-seventies Flyers a bit.

How Did I get into Hockey: Dad would not let me play football as a kid as he felt it was too dangerous...so I played hockey instead. Been a STH with Hawks since 1991.

First several years were with a partner. Loved the seats as they were right by the ladder into the organ loft. Got to see several pro sports athletes and other occasional celebs climb that ladder into the loft. Will Perdue was kind of funny doing it since the celling height was for hobbits and he looked like he was using a walker just to get to the ladder. The only downside to the section was that the bathroom was right outside the opening by our seats and occasionally their would be backups, that seemed to go a period, and would roll down the stairs.
