Best way to limit that is by doing what Rizzo did and start bunting or pushing ball to opposite field... looks just like a lined single in box score

Gonzo used to hit HR's to LF in petco all day long. Nothing wrong with developing a oppsite field power game. Wind blows out to left plenty in wrigg.

Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura left tonight’s start against the Astros after allowing five runs in 2 2/3 innings and exhibiting inconsistent velocity. Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star tweets that Ventura is experiencing “lateral elbow discomfort.” He will have an MRI on Tuesday. In 57 1/3 innings this season, Ventura has posted a 3.45 ERA with 9.3 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9.

Jesus.... that doesn't sound good.

So.. I think the A's might win 100 games. They lead the league in runs scored and lead the league in fewest runs given up. They are +100 in runs. The next best team is +43.

I'd put the Tigers there too especially as we approach summer and the offense kicks it up another couple of notches.

Saw Braden Shipley over the weekend.

Works with a true 3/4 delivery. Bit of drop and drive but the arm whip is very nice and the upper body mechanics are sound.

Pretty good velocity, flat fastball up in the velocity band though. Fastball works better in the 91-92 range than in the 94+ range. Curveball is two plane breaker, 10-4 when it's very sharp. Flattens out some to 11-5 when he loops it. I think he uses a spike curve grip. Change is his best pitch, real fade on the offering.

Command is an issue but he showed an aptitude for pitching. Worked backwards, seemed like he was calling his own game. Has #2 upside and I want to see him more.
