I'm not even sure he's that. I get the argument you're making but even with a lot of defensive replacements you expect at least a moderate level of hitting. For example, if he hit .250 with a .310 OBP with his glove I think you can make him a useful bench player. But the way he is hitting now? I'm not sure he deserves to be on a major league team. It's also possible he just needs a change of scenery but if he's not hitting in wrigley which is typically one of the better hitting parks I'm not sure what a change of scenery will do.

I don't know.. Ryan Theriot had a career AVG of .280 and just hit .270 as a back up for the Giants and no one signed him..
