The Hawks need to play better then they did tonight.

But at least they are playing!

I will never give up on this team. They're still playing.

well this is where we could see kings mistakes. kings comeback in a series down 3-0 and 3-1 and win the series, they know that can happen as it happened to them twice. The pressure is on the kings as they do not want this going 7. if the hawks play smart and not be on the PK we could steal this one.

I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment. Could steal one, yes, not expecting us to dominate the play... let them get too offense-oriented and then poke holes in the D.

Hawks need the D to show up in a big way. They should try mucking it up a bit like Minnesota did vs Hawks in 2nd round.
Kings are the best possession team, statistically speaking, in the NHL(by a slim margin). Maybe a congested neutral zone can lead to more odd man rushes.

I really don't want to be a negative Nancy but I don't have a good feeling about this one. I just don't see them sustaining the same intensity we saw at the end of game 5, and they can't seem to beat LA playing at a more even pace. Sorry.

I have to agree with you. I can tell you for a fact that the pace from last night's game is one that all players like to play at.....it's not only faster but more wide open and just generally more fun to play.

I don't think Darryl Sutter is gonna let that happen.....

Game 6 will hinge on the Hawks penalty kill, which is still bad. They are way too passive and giving too much space to the Kings, who are all too happy to walk their defensemen right up to Crawford and blast away point-blank. If they fail to block the shot it's almost guaranteed to find the back of the net.

I'm concerned about an early goal and Crawford's mental toughness and confidence in LA. At least he bounced back strong after letting in letting in the bad tying goal last night.

One huge positive from Game 5:

I think the Hawks have found a line to counter the Kings' 70s line with Saad-Shaw-Kane. They were everywhere in Game 5.

That line was amazing last night.

Hope you're right, but the fact Kopitar hit the pipe with a goal that would have sent us packing, I'll maintain a wait and see on that.

What are you talking about? I've picked the Hawks to win every game. Please leave me out of your pathetic dislike parade bullshit.
